Airport Safety Specialist

The Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority (CMAA) is seeking to fill the position of Airport Safety Specialist. General duties include aircraft rescue firefighting and emergency medical care. Related duties include emergency disaster response, emergency medical services, operating and maintaining firefighting equipment, and other related work. Primarily focuses on the safety at the airport which includes responding to aircraft emergencies as an Airport Rescue Firefighter, or maintaining the operational safety of the airfield as an Operations Specialist. Firefighter I, II and Airport certification preferred. Advanced Airport Safety and Operations Specialist School preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Annual salary of $25,344.49. Airport Safety Training Supervisor

The Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority (CMAA) is seeking to fill the position of Airport Safety Training Supervisor. General duties include aircraft rescue firefighting and emergency medical care. Related duties include emergency disaster response, emergency medical services, operating and maintaining firefighting equipment, and other related work. Primarily responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, and performing all duties and functions in the Airport Operational Safety Department which relate to airport operations and airport rescue firefighting.  Additionally, responsible to oversee all training aspects that relate to airport rescue firefighting. High school graduate or equivalent required. Relevant college coursework preferred. State of Tennessee Firefighter I and II certifications, Firefighter Instructor I certification, and First Responder license is required.  Three to five years experience in direct customer contact position required.
